I’m Imposing ran on for an impressive third in the Group 1 Doomben Cup (2000m) a fortnight ago and has maintained status as outright favourite in 2015 Lord Mayor’s Cup betting markets at a quote of $3.70 with Ladbrokes.com.au.

Winning the Listed Festival Stakes (1500m) and running second in the Group 2 Villiers Stakes (1600m) most notably through summer, I’m Imposing returned this year for a forgettable tenth in the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes (1500m) on March 21st, but responded well in running third in the Group 2 Hollindale Stakes (1800m) a fortnight prior to the Doomben Cup.

Allocated the ideal barrier 2, I’m Imposing has been confirmed to be partnered by Tye Angland and arguably offers the best value for money as a selection in a Lord Mayor’s Cup quinella or trifecta bet.

Strawberry Boy and Hopfgarten are both yet to receive much more than a sprinkling of bets for success in 2015 Lord Mayor’s Cup markets but have maintained position tied on the second line at a quote of $5.50 each.

Strawberry Boy has found exceptional form since transferring to the care of Chris Waller; winning the Listed Ladies Day Cup (1400m) and finishing third in each of the Festival Stakes and Villiers Stakes in his first three starts for the Rosehill trainer.

Running fifth in the Royal Randwick 100 (1400m) and sixth in the Listed Scone Cup (1600m) this time, the Redoute’s Choice gelding will need some luck in running from barrier 8 but will be partnered by leading Hong Kong-based hoop Zac Purton.

Undoubtedly leading the charge of the locals, Hopfgarten ran on for a commendable fifth in the Doomben Cup last start and should have no issue in returning to a mile on Saturday.

Posting nine wins and a further six minors over 27 career starts so far, the Mossman gelding beat a talented field to the line in the Canadian Club Handicap (1350m) on March 28th; running second to Sir Moments in the Listed Tails Stakes (1600m) before running third in the Toowoomba Cup (2150m) in his only other start prior to the Doomben Cup.

Drawn well in barrier 5, Hopfgarten has been confirmed to be partnered by Damian Browne and offers great value for money at current odds.

Estonian Princess has so far received the greatest market share of attention in 2015 Lord Mayor’s Cup betting markets; currently in from an opening quote of $11 to currently register as clear $8 market mover.
